Land Acknowledgement

The Thunder Bay International Airports Authority acknowledges that we are situated on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe Peoples and within the Robinson-Superior Treaty of 1850. We recognize the enduring presence and stewardship of Fort William First Nation, signatories to this treaty, and honor their ongoing connection to the land on which we operate. We also acknowledge the Métis people, whose historical and ongoing presence enriches this region, and we honor their contributions and connection to this land on which we operate.
